21-Year-Old Woman Charged With Hacking Selena Gomez's Email
21-year-old Susan Atrach has been charged with over five felonies after hacking Selena Gomez's private email accounts, as well as illegally storing some of her data.
The Los Angeles Police Department released a press release stating that Atrach was charged with five felony counts of identity theft, five felony counts of accessing and using computer data to commit fraud or to control or obtain money, property or data, and one felony count of accessing and using computer data or taking supporting documentation without permission.
The New Jersey native was allegedly the one responsible for leaking those nude photos of Selena's ex Justin Bieber, which were reportedly taken during a 2015 trip to Bora Bora, coinciding with the time of the hacking. These were then posted to Selena's Instagram account.
Following the incident, Kirsten Stubbs, the Digital Marketing Director at Interscope Records addressed the hacking in a tweet.

According to the LAPD, Atrach's charges carry a maximum of nine years imprisonment.
"She is going to surrender here in LA," an LAPD representative told the New York Post. She'll be arraigned on August 27.
